LEGALTECH / CYBER RISK INTELLIGENCE
How Ficode Built a Cyber Risk Intelligence Platform from Scratch
Ficode designed and developed the complete DataLawyers platform from the ground up, bringing together third-party breach intelligence, automated data processing and security-focused access controls for legal-sector assessments.

DataLawyers aimed to extend its cyber risk assessment services to solicitors and legal firms, providing a platform to request and analyse information relevant to potential data breaches. Ficode designed and built the complete platform from scratch, including external data integrations, custom DataFactories, request management and a data-processing engine. The platform was designed to help users bring together information from multiple cyber intelligence sources for assessment and potential legal investigations
Fragmented breach intelligence. Complex requests. Demanding data workflows.
DataLawyers needed to bring together information from multiple external providers and breach-monitoring sources while managing individual data requests for legal-sector users.

Ficode architected and built the platform from the ground up, bringing together multiple third-party providers, dark-web-related breach information and credit-check integrations. Custom DataFactories retrieve and aggregate information, while the request-processing system coordinates data handling for legal-sector users.
Third-party integrations
Integrations with external data providers and monitoring services.
Custom DataFactories
Software components built to retrieve and aggregate breach-related information.
Request management
Structured intake, processing and handling of requested searches.
Compiled intelligence
Consolidated information to support cyber risk review and legal professionals' assessment.
From a legal-sector request to aggregated information
The source describes a request management system, custom DataFactories, a data processing engine and real-time queue management. The diagram presents the logical workflow. Confirmed security measures include encryption, multi-factor authentication (MFA), role-based access controls and GDPR-related safeguards. Specific encryption algorithms, hosting providers and processing latency have not been supplied.

More efficient assessments, faster processing and higher request capacity
More efficient assessments
Aggregated breach intelligence from multiple external sources helps legal professionals review relevant information more efficiently.
Faster data processing
Custom DataFactories and organised processing workflows improved the handling of external data requests.
Higher request capacity
Queue-supported workflows helped the platform accommodate higher request volumes.
Aggregated breach data
The platform delivers consolidated breach-related information for legal professionals to examine; it does not automatically generate expert-witness reports.
Modern web development, data engineering and integration
The published technology stack includes Python, FastAPI, MySQL, Angular, HTML, CSS, Kafka, custom DataFactories and Docker. Together these form the documented engineering toolkit behind the solution; the client has confirmed encryption, MFA, role-based access control and GDPR-related safeguards.
