FICODE Meets the Madrid Innovation Lab Team to discuss AI and Tech – Spain 

Madrid, Spain – 11^th February 2026

FICODE met with the Madrid Innovation Lab (an initiative by the Madrid City Council, Spain).

The meeting provided FICODE an opportunity to learn more about the challenges businesses across Madrid experience in AI, Technologies and Software Development, but also the opportunities to support the digital transformation process across Madrid and wider Spain.

Spanish SMEs represent the majority of business activity in Madrid and wider Spain, but only circa 8% of SMEs across Spain are utilising AI. However, most businesses attempting AI are doing so without proper integrated digital systems to provide a strong foundation for AI to scale and be implemented effectively.

For over 10 years, FICODE has supported the digital transformation of businesses from ideation to post-development across Europe and globally in various industries to scale and automate their internal processes.

Amongst many projects, FICODE has:

• Developed of custom web applications and web updates (including the delivery of language translations).
• Supported the collection and analyst of business databases to present and streamline their data in more meaningful ways.
• Developed multiple user-friendly mobile apps (including AI-powered apps)
