Structuring Veterinary Implant Data for Controlled Catalogue Updates and Connected Clinical Planning
Ficode designed and developed an implant catalogue platform that connects structured product records with clinical planning. Role-based administration, product requests and preview tools help teams maintain the catalogue, while APIs provide access to product and implant-template information.
The project in context
Implant planning depends on product information that clinicians can browse and use. As the catalogue grew across suppliers, ranges, sizes and variants, fragmented records made updates harder to manage. Ficode built a platform around explicit product relationships, controlled administration and dedicated maintenance workflows.
Keeping complex implant records maintainable and usable
The catalogue needed to serve two groups. Internal teams required controlled ways to add, review and maintain product information. The clinical planning application needed structured records it could browse and use for implant templating.
The challenge Before
Fragmented product records
Growing libraries contained fragmented records and inconsistent relationships between products.Controlled catalogue updates
Internal teams needed controlled ways to add and maintain products.Planning data access
Clinical planning needed structured product information for browsing and templating. With Ficode Connected Approach
Explicit product relationships
A multi-level hierarchy links variants with attributes and imaging information.Role-based management
Invited users maintain catalogue records through workflows governed by roles.Connected planning information
APIs serve managed product and implant-template information to clinical planning.Connecting product structure with catalogue administration
Define the product hierarchy
Organise catalogue data from supplier through product groupings to individual variants, associating descriptive attributes and imaging information with each variant.
Introduce controlled administration
Provide invitation-based onboarding and role-based access, giving catalogue teams defined controls over who can maintain product records.
Build maintenance and preview tools
Create a dedicated frontend for maintaining entries, reviewing implant details, handling product requests and previewing the planning views of catalogue information.
Connect records to clinical planning
Develop structured API routes for browsing, management, preview and integration, allowing clinical planning to draw product information from the managed catalogue.
From controlled onboarding to implant information in planning
Invite users
Invite users and assign roles governing catalogue updates.Maintain or request
Maintain catalogue entries or handle incoming product requests.Review, serve and use
Review implant details, serve via API and use in clinical planning.CONNECTED OUTCOME
Users join through invitations and receive roles that govern catalogue updates. Teams maintain entries or handle product requests, then review implant details and preview planning views.
Managed implant information connected to clinical use
Structured records
A multi-level product model connects suppliers, product groupings and variants with their descriptive attributes and imaging information.
Controlled updates
Role-based access and invitation workflows govern user onboarding and who can maintain product information within the catalogue.
Practical administration
Teams can maintain entries, review implant details, handle product requests and preview planning views in the management frontend.
Connected clinical planning
APIs make managed catalogue information available for browsing and implant templating within the connected clinical planning application.
